Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and compassionate Hospital Cleaner to join our team, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards within a busy healthcare environment in Aberdeen. This is an entry-level position where full training will be provided, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining a safe and sterile environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your role will be crucial in preventing the spread of infection and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks across various hospital areas, including patient rooms, wards, corridors, waiting areas, and offices.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces, fixtures, floors, and equipment according to strict hospital hygiene protocols.
  • Empty and sanitise waste bins, ensuring proper segregation and disposal of general and clinical waste.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and hand sanitiser.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere strictly to COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations and health and safety guidelines.
  • Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanour when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
