Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and compassionate Hospital Cleaner (Environmental Services Assistant) to join our team at Spire Cheltenham Hospital. This full-time position comes with a comprehensive benefits package. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and competent in all aspects of the role. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, operating theatres, waiting areas, offices, and common spaces.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of clinical and general waste according to hospital protocols.
- Clean and sanitise bathrooms, ensuring all facilities are stocked and maintained.
- Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Adhere to strict infection control policies and procedures.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to support a safe environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy at all times.
