Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our vibrant hotel in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s operations, ensuring unparalleled guest satisfaction, driving financial performance, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. This on-site, full-time position requires a passionate individual with a proven track record in hotel management, capable of inspiring a team to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring high standards of service and operational efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of hotel professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and guest focus.
- Manage the hotel's financial performance, including budgeting, revenue management, cost control, and profitability.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve hotel objectives, market share growth, and brand loyalty.
- Ensure compliance with all brand standards, health and safety regulations, and local laws.
- Act as the primary contact for guests, addressing feedback and ensuring a seamless experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local community stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 2 years in a General Manager role.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
- Exceptional guest service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations and multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and standard office applications.
- In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry best practices and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience managing a branded hotel property, particularly within the Hilton portfolio.
- Fluency in additional languages relevant to the local market.
