Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and aspiring Game Design & Development Intern to join our vibrant indie studio in Motherwell. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about game creation, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to real-world projects. You will gain hands-on experience across various aspects of game design and development, working closely with our experienced team members. No prior professional experience is required; we are looking for potential, a strong eagerness to learn, and a foundational understanding of game concepts. Full training and mentorship will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with game concept brainstorming and prototyping sessions.
  • Support the design team in documenting game features, mechanics, and user flows.
  • Help test game builds and provide constructive feedback.
  • Learn and contribute to level design, asset integration, and basic scripting tasks.
  • Research industry trends, competitor games, and player feedback.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for game improvements.
  • Maintain clear communication with the development team regarding progress and challenges.

  • Basic understanding of game design principles and terminology.

  • A portfolio demonstrating personal game projects, even small ones or game jams.
