Job Description
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Foreign Language Teacher passionate about fostering linguistic and cultural understanding? Global Minds Language Academy is seeking dynamic educators proficient in Spanish, French, or Mandarin to join our vibrant team in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will be instrumental in shaping the minds of our students, providing them with the skills to communicate effectively in a globalized world. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans for Spanish, French, or Mandarin.
- Teach students across various age groups and proficiency levels, from beginners to advanced.
- Assess student progress through a variety of methods and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff on curriculum development and extracurricular activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student performance and progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide events.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Foreign Languages, or a related field
- Fluency in English and at least one of Spanish, French, or Mandarin
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective, engaging lesson plans
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt to diverse learning styles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Cultural sensitivity and a passion for promoting global understanding
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related discipline
- Additional certifications in language instruction (e.g., DELF/DALF, DELE, HSK certifications, TESOL/TEFL)
- Experience living or teaching abroad in a target language speaking country
- Proficiency in more than one of the specified foreign languages (Spanish, French, Mandarin)
