Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Façade Engineer to join our dynamic team in Haverfordwest. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to a variety of challenging and high-profile projects. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and engineering of various façade systems from concept to detailed design stages.
- Perform structural and thermal analysis of façade components and systems using industry-standard software.
- Prepare technical specifications, reports, and drawings for façade packages.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders to integrate façade designs.
- Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing expert advice on façade engineering matters.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies in façade engineering.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the professional development of the team.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in façade engineering.
- Proficiency in façade design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, Strand7, THERM, or similar).
- Strong understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., EN, BS, CWCT).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or actively working towards it.
- Experience with sustainable façade design principles and energy performance analysis.
- Knowledge of advanced materials and construction techniques for façades.
- Project management experience in façade-related projects.
