Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Executive Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in Stratford-upon-Avon. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of our hotel’s cleanliness, guest room presentation, and public area standards, ensuring an unparalleled guest experience. The successful candidate will manage a diverse team, implement rigorous quality control measures, and contribute to the overall operational success of the hotel. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the housekeeping team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cleaning procedures and standards for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all areas meet the highest cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation standards.
  • Manage departmental budget, control inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities, and forecast future needs.
  • Collaborate with the front office and maintenance departments to ensure seamless guest service and prompt resolution of issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including daily assignments, lost and found, and maintenance requests.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Implement eco-friendly practices and promote sustainability within the department.
  • Address guest concerns and special requests regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare and present reports on departmental performance, expenditures, and guest feedback.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a hotel housekeeping department.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, cleaning techniques, and sanitation standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment.
  • Certification in hospitality or housekeeping management.
  • Knowledge of different international cleaning standards and cultural expectations.
