Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Event Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic marketing team in Norwich. This entry-level role is perfect for someone looking to kickstart their career in event management and marketing. You will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, execution, and promotion of various corporate events, conferences, and community engagement activities. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the ropes of event marketing from the ground up, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to impactful projects that enhance our brand presence and customer engagement. Full training and mentorship will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the research, planning, and coordination of various marketing events, both in-person and virtual.
- Support the creation and distribution of promotional materials, including invitations, brochures, and digital content.
- Manage event logistics, including venue booking, catering arrangements, audio-visual setup, and registration processes.
- Help with event setup, on-site management, and breakdown, ensuring a smooth experience for attendees.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all event elements are delivered on time and within budget.
- Monitor event budgets and track expenditures, assisting with post-event reconciliation.
- Gather and analyse event feedback and data to contribute to post-event reports and future improvements.
- Maintain marketing databases and assist with communication to attendees and stakeholders.
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiasm for marketing and event management.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or working towards one).
- Previous volunteer or internship experience in an office or event setting.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
