Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of the vibrant event scene in Coffs Harbour this summer? Coastal Events & Productions Group is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Event Crew Members to help with the set-up and pack-down of various festivals and events across the region. This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience in the events industry, work outdoors, and be part of a dynamic team bringing unforgettable experiences to life. No prior experience is necessary – we provide full training for all tasks!
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the physical set-up of event sites, including marquees, fencing, staging, and furniture.
- Unloading and loading equipment, materials, and supplies efficiently and safely.
- Following all safety guidelines and instructions to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
- Performing general site maintenance and clean-up during and after events.
- Working collaboratively with the event team and other crew members to achieve event goals.
- Assisting with the dismantling and pack-down of event infrastructure post-event.
- Performing other ad-hoc duties as required to support smooth event operations.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 20kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent teamwork and basic communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new tasks.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, during event periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current valid driver's license and access to reliable transport.
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment commonly used in event production (e.g., drills, hammers).
- Current First Aid certification (desirable but not essential).
