Key Responsibilities

• Undergo comprehensive training to understand and apply immigration and customs legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in the examination of passengers, vehicles, and freight entering the UK to detect prohibited or restricted goods.
• Learn to identify and challenge individuals attempting to enter the UK illegally or involved in smuggling activities.
• Support senior officers in conducting interviews, gathering intelligence, and completing documentation related to border control.
• Operate and interpret results from specialist detection equipment and technology.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to intelligence gathering, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, law enforcement agencies, and other government departments.
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and operational protocols.
