Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organised individual to join our team as a Carpet Cleaning Van Restocker. This is an entry-level, on-site position based at our Coventry depot, perfect for someone reliable, eager to learn, and looking for a stable full-time role. You will play a crucial supporting role, ensuring our carpet cleaning vans are fully stocked with all necessary chemicals, solutions, and equipment, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of our hoses and tools. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience in cleaning or warehouse operations is required. If you have a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply!
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately restock all carpet cleaning vans with chemicals, cleaning solutions, and essential equipment before daily dispatch.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain all hoses, nozzles, and tools, ensuring they are ready for the next job.
- Organize and maintain inventory in the storage area, ensuring proper rotation and efficient space utilisation.
- Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to the depot manager to ensure timely reordering.
- Assist with general warehouse cleanliness and organisation, including sweeping, tidying, and waste disposal.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, particularly when handling cleaning chemicals.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required to support the efficient operation of the cleaning team.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move cleaning supplies and equipment (up to 20kg).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Basic organisational skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- No prior experience required; full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or similar operational support role (desirable but not essential).
- Basic understanding of cleaning products and safety procedures (advantageous but not required).
