Job Description
We are actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist to join our dynamic Heart and Vascular Institute team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional looking to advance their career in a state-of-the-art facility. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will perform diagnostic procedures, assist physicians during invasive procedures, and maintain equipment to ensure the highest standards of cardiac care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic cardiovascular procedures, including echocardiograms, stress tests, and vascular studies.
- Assist cardiologists and other medical professionals during invasive cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain specialized diagnostic equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Analyze and summarize findings for physician interpretation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Required Skills
- Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field.
- Current ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification or eligible to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist.
- Proficiency in performing echocardiograms, stress tests, and vascular studies.
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Eligibility for visa sponsorship in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related health science field.
- Experience with advanced cardiac imaging modalities.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Experience in a large hospital or academic medical center setting.
- Multilingual abilities.
