Job Description
Are you passionate about coffee, customer service, and looking for an exciting new challenge? Costa Coffee in Wimbledon is seeking an enthusiastic Barista Trainee to join our vibrant team! This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with no prior experience in hospitality or coffee preparation. You’ll learn the art of coffee making, from grinding beans to latte art, all while delivering exceptional service to our valued customers. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all training modules provided, learning the Costa Coffee standards for beverage preparation and customer service.
- Master the operation of espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment.
- Prepare a wide range of hot and cold beverages accurately and efficiently, following recipes and quality standards.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner, taking orders and handling transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar, seating area, and back-of-house, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Handle cash and card payments accurately using our point-of-sale system.
- Assist with stocking inventory, unpacking deliveries, and ensuring all supplies are readily available.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive atmosphere.
Required Skills
- No prior barista or coffee shop experience required – full training will be provided.
- A genuine passion for learning about coffee and the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (any industry) is a plus, but not essential.
