As a Trainee Bailiff, you will be crucial in ensuring compliance with court orders and warrants, engaging with members of the public, and upholding the integrity of the judicial process. Full training will be provided to equip you with all the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this challenging yet highly rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend residential and commercial properties to execute warrants and orders issued by the courts.
- Engage with individuals regarding outstanding debts and enforcement actions, seeking amicable resolutions where possible.
- Adhere strictly to all relevant legislation, codes of practice, and company policies.
- Complete accurate and detailed reports, maintaining clear records of all activities and interactions.
- Manage and maintain company equipment, including vehicles, securely and responsibly.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and customer service.
- Undertake continuous professional development and participate in all required training.
- Navigate conflict situations calmly and professionally, following established procedures.
Required Skills
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential for field-based work)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations empathetically.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm approach under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and administrative tasks.
- Resilience and a proactive attitude.
- No prior experience in enforcement or debt collection is required – full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Awareness of legal processes or regulatory environments.
