Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and efficient screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and checked luggage using various security technologies and manual search techniques.
- Operate advanced X-ray, walk-through metal detectors, and explosive detection systems.
- Verify passenger identities and boarding passes.
- Educate passengers on security protocols and provide clear, professional instructions.
- Respond to and resolve security alarms and potential threats in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain constant vigilance and awareness of your surroundings to detect and deter potential security threats.
- Work collaboratively with a team of security professionals, law enforcement, and airline personnel.
- Adhere strictly to all federal security regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, making sound decisions quickly.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally with diverse groups of people.
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 pounds, and perform various physical tasks including bending, reaching, and walking.
- Comfortable working in a structured, often stressful, and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass a stringent federal background check, medical evaluation, and drug screening.
