Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Audiologist to join our thriving practice in Lisburn. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to make a significant impact on the hearing health of our community. As an Audiologist at Specsavers, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive audiological assessments, fitting and dispensing hearing aids, and delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments for a diverse patient base.
  • Interpret audiological test results and provide clear explanations to patients.
  • Prescribe, fit, and dispense a wide range of hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
  • Provide detailed counselling and rehabilitation services to patients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in audiology technology and practices.
  • Adhere to all professional and ethical guidelines, including GMC/HCPC standards.

Required Skills

  • Degree in Audiology or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Valid registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., HCPC in the UK, or equivalent international registration with eligibility for UK registration).
  • Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
  • Proficiency in using audiological equipment and software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a clinical audiology setting.
  • Experience with a variety of hearing aid brands and fitting software.
  • Additional specializations or certifications in areas such as tinnitus management or vestibular assessment.
  • Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds.
