Job Description
Meta is seeking an innovative and passionate AR/VR Software Engineer to join our cutting-edge team in Wimbledon, London. You will be instrumental in developing the foundational technologies and applications for our next generation of augmented and virtual reality experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize software for AR/VR platforms and devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, designers, and researchers.
- Implement algorithms and systems for computer vision, 3D graphics, tracking, and interaction.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in C++, C#, or Python.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
- Analyze and resolve performance and scalability issues within AR/VR applications.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency in C++ programming.
- Experience with 3D graphics APIs (e.g., OpenGL, DirectX, Vulkan) or game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Familiarity with AR/VR concepts and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field.
- Experience with real-time systems, embedded systems, or mobile development.
- Knowledge of computer vision, machine learning, or sensor fusion.
- Experience with performance optimization for low-power devices.
- Prior experience working on shipping AR/VR products or research projects.
- Contributions to open-source projects related to AR/VR.
