Job Description
We are seeking a talented AR/VR Developer to join our dynamic team in Leith, Edinburgh. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge augmented and virtual reality applications. You will work on exciting projects that span various industries, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment. This is an opportunity to innovate with state-of-the-art hardware and software, bringing immersive digital worlds to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AR/VR applications for various platforms (e.g., Meta Quest, HoloLens, mobile AR).
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and other developers to integrate visual and audio assets.
- Optimize performance and ensure a smooth, high-quality user experience within immersive environments.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging AR/VR technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues, providing effective solutions.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in C# and Unity3D engine.
- Experience with AR/VR SDKs (e.g., ARFoundation, OpenXR, VRTK, Oculus SDK).
- Solid understanding of 3D mathematics and computer graphics principles.
- Ability to optimize assets and code for performance on target hardware.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
- Experience with other game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine).
- Familiarity with 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya) and asset pipelines.
- Knowledge of networking for multi-user AR/VR experiences.
- Portfolio showcasing previous AR/VR projects or relevant 3D development work.
