Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to kickstart your career with no prior experience needed? Currys is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Appliance Delivery Offsiders to join our Manchester team. As part of a 2-person crew, you’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering a wide range of appliances to our valued customers’ homes. Full training will be provided to ensure you have all the skills and knowledge required to excel in this role. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and teamwork, making every delivery a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the driver with the safe and efficient delivery of appliances to customer homes.
- Perform manual handling of heavy appliances, ensuring safe lifting and handling techniques are always used (training provided).
- Navigate routes and assist with planning the most efficient delivery paths.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, providing excellent service at every doorstep.
- Protect products from damage during transit and installation.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with your delivery partner to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – full training will be provided!
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of local geographical areas (Manchester and surrounding regions).
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (beneficial, but not essential).
- Knowledge of health and safety best practices, particularly in manual handling (training will be given).
