Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join our esteemed team in Derby. The role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections to ensure the highest standards of safety and operational readiness. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various aircraft engines and components in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
  • Conduct comprehensive troubleshooting and fault diagnosis using specialized equipment and technical manuals.
  • Execute engine removals, installations, and modifications, ensuring meticulous adherence to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately and completely in maintenance logs and systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve maintenance practices.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry advancements and new technologies.

Required Skills

  • EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (B1 or B2 preferred) or equivalent national certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in aircraft engine maintenance, overhaul, or repair.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and regulatory documents.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Type ratings on Rolls-Royce engine models (e.g., Trent, BR700 series).
  • Experience with advanced diagnostic tools and software.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior technicians.
