Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Event Stewards / Ushers for weekend events in Downtown Seattle. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible, part-time work with no prior experience required. As an Event Steward / Usher, you will be the front-line ambassador for our venues, ensuring the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and direct guests to their seats and various facilities.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Monitor assigned sections for potential issues, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all attendees.
- Assist guests with special needs, including accessibility requests.
- Enforce venue policies and procedures consistently and respectfully.
- Work collaboratively with other event staff, security, and management to ensure smooth event operations.
- Be prepared to assist in emergency situations, following established protocols.
- Help maintain cleanliness and order in assigned areas during events.
Required Skills
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse audience.
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and navigate stairs.
- Must be available to work weekends and some evenings, as dictated by event schedules.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or a public-facing role is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with various event types (concerts, sports, conventions) is beneficial.
