Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Records Management Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient and accurate handling of vital government records. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a strong commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work meticulously within established guidelines. Full training will be provided on our specific records management systems and government protocols. Your role will be critical in ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and security of information essential to our operations and compliance obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, classify, and file physical and electronic records in accordance with Council and government archival standards.
- Perform data entry with meticulous attention to detail to maintain accurate records databases.
- Retrieve and deliver records efficiently upon request, ensuring proper tracking and confidentiality.
- Assist with the digitization of documents and maintenance of digital archives.
- Conduct regular audits and quality checks of records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Support the implementation and adherence to records management policies and procedures.
- Assist in responding to information requests, including Freedom of Information (FOI) applications, under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized records storage environment.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure consistent record-keeping practices.
