Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Render’s Assistant to join our specialist trade support team in Geraldton. This is a unique opportunity for an individual looking for high pay and a chance to develop valuable skills in the construction industry, working alongside experienced professionals. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our skilled renderers, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality finishes on our residential projects. Full training will be provided to the right candidate with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled renderers with material preparation, mixing, and application.
- Prepare work areas, including masking, cleaning surfaces, and setting up scaffolding.
- Transport materials and tools around the job site safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including tool cleaning and storage.
- Perform general labouring tasks as directed to support trade activities.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety protocols and company policies.
- Assist with quality control checks to ensure finishes meet BGC Residential standards.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety (or willingness to obtain).
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction or manual labour role.
- Current Construction Induction (White) Card.
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport.
- An interest in the building and construction industry.
