Job Description
Join GL Events UK as Exhibition Set-Up Staff and become a vital part of our national project delivery team. This exciting role involves extensive travel across the UK to various exhibition venues, where you will be responsible for the precise and timely installation and dismantling of exhibition stands, display structures, and event infrastructure. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to learn, travel, and contribute to large-scale events. Key Responsibilities
- Travel to various exhibition and event venues across the UK as required by project schedules.
- Unload and load exhibition equipment, materials, and structures from vehicles.
- Assemble and install exhibition stands, shell schemes, furniture, and display elements according to technical drawings and project specifications.
- Ensure all installations meet safety standards and client expectations.
- Dismantle exhibition structures efficiently and carefully after events conclude.
- Pack and organize equipment for transportation back to the warehouse or next project site.
- Assist with on-site maintenance and troubleshooting of exhibition components.
- Work collaboratively with the project management team, fellow staff, and venue personnel.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service on-site.
Required Skills
- Ability to travel extensively and stay away from home for extended periods.
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects safely.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manual labor, construction, or events role (even if informal).
- Full UK Driving License.
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in assembly/disassembly.
- First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
