Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Expatriate Management Specialist to join our Human Resources team in Plymouth. This role is crucial in supporting our global mobility programs, ensuring a seamless experience for our employees on international assignments. You will manage the entire expatriate lifecycle, from pre-assignment planning to repatriation, handling complex HR, tax, immigration, and compensation aspects. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional with a keen interest in international HR and global mobility, contributing significantly to our global talent strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of international assignments, including pre-assignment, on-assignment, and repatriation phases.
- Act as the primary point of contact for expatriates, their families, and business stakeholders regarding global mobility policies and processes.
- Coordinate with external vendors (tax, immigration, relocation) to ensure compliance and smooth transitions.
- Prepare assignment letters, cost projections, and compensation packages in line with global mobility policies.
- Ensure compliance with international tax, social security, and immigration regulations.
- Provide advice and support on expatriate benefits, housing, schooling, and cultural integration.
- Maintain accurate expatriate data and generate reports for HR and business leaders.
- Participate in the review and development of global mobility policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HR, with at least 1 year in global mobility or expatriate management.
- Strong understanding of international HR principles, tax implications, and immigration processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases and multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with global mobility software solutions.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent professional certification.
- Knowledge of UK immigration laws and international tax treaties.
- Fluency in a second language.
