Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Animation Assistant to join our thriving Graphics Studio team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational skills and a passion for animation to grow their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our experienced animators and designers, contributing to various projects from concept development to final delivery. This role offers hands-on experience and a chance to learn industry-standard techniques and software.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior animators with the creation of 2D and 3D animation assets.
- Perform frame-by-frame clean-up, in-betweening, and colourisation tasks.
- Support the design team with graphic asset preparation and organisation.
- Conduct research for visual styles, animation techniques, and creative concepts.
- Help maintain project files and ensure all assets are correctly organised and archived.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
- Assist with video editing, sound syncing, and post-production tasks as needed.
- Learn and apply new animation software and tools under guidance.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of animation principles.
- Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for visual consistency.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Animation, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with animation software such as Adobe Animate, After Effects, or basic 3D software (Blender, Maya).
- A compelling portfolio showcasing personal or academic animation/design projects.
- Basic knowledge of video editing principles.
