Job Description

No previous bus driving experience is required – we provide full, paid training and cover the cost of your PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) licence! Key Responsibilities
- Successfully complete all elements of our comprehensive paid training program to obtain your PCV licence.
- Learn and adhere to all relevant road safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate buses safely and efficiently on various routes throughout Leicester and the surrounding areas.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with their queries and ensuring a comfortable journey.
- Manage passenger fares and issue tickets accurately.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks before and after shifts to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly.
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by service needs.
Required Skills
- Must be over 18 years of age.
- Hold a valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Have held a full UK driving licence for at least 2 years.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Have a positive attitude and a commitment to safety.
- Be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Pass a medical examination to PCV standards.
- Undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- A good understanding of the Leicester area and local road networks.
