Job Description

Modern Building Cleaning is looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join us as High-Rise Window Washer Trainees in Sydney, Nova Scotia. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive, hands-on training to equip you with all the skills and certifications needed to safely and effectively perform high-rise window cleaning. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all safety and job-specific training programs provided by the company.
- Learn and strictly adhere to all company safety protocols, procedures, and industry best practices for high-rise window cleaning.
- Properly inspect, maintain, and utilize all assigned safety equipment, including harnesses, ropes, and specialized tools.
- Assist experienced technicians in setting up and taking down rigging and access equipment for high-rise operations.
- Perform window cleaning tasks on commercial and residential high-rise buildings under direct supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress and any safety concerns.
- Represent Modern Building Cleaning with professionalism and excellent customer service on job sites.
Required Skills
- Comfortable working at significant heights (training will reinforce safety protocols)
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively within a team environment
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (asset for site travel)
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certification (will be provided if not already held)
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role
