Job Description
Are you an early riser looking for active weekend work? Sainsbury’s is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Farmers Market Stall Setup Helper in Sutton. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who enjoys physical work, being outdoors, and contributing to a bustling community environment. No prior experience is necessary – we provide full training! You’ll be instrumental in bringing our market stalls to life, ensuring everything is ready for a successful trading day.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of market equipment, produce, and supplies.
- Efficiently set up market stalls, including erecting canopies, arranging tables, and setting up display units.
- Artfully arrange fresh produce and products to create an appealing visual display.
- Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed during setup and dismantling.
- Provide basic assistance and information to customers and market visitors during operational hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stall area throughout the market day.
- Assist with the dismantling of stalls and packing away equipment at the close of the market.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth market operations.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry market equipment and produce.
