Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Maid at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Marriott, where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy a pristine and comfortable stay. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to upholding our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This is an entry-level position, and we are eager to provide full training to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning guest rooms and bathrooms thoroughly, including dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.
- Replenishing amenities such as towels, toiletries, and mini-bar items.
- Making beds neatly and arranging furniture and decor to hotel standards.
- Emptying trash and recycling bins.
- Reporting any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items promptly to supervision.
- Adhering to safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Assisting guests with requests and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner when encountered.
- Maintaining a stocked and organized cart with all necessary supplies.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within given timeframes.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, push, and pull throughout the shift.
- A positive attitude and a friendly demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a cleaning or hospitality role is a plus, but not required – we will train the right candidate!
- Basic understanding of English for communication with guests and team members.
