Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Waste Truck Helper, supporting essential council contract services in Sale and the surrounding Greater Manchester area. This ongoing full-time role involves working alongside our experienced drivers, ensuring the efficient and safe collection of waste and recycling from residential and commercial properties. You will be an integral part of maintaining the cleanliness and environmental standards of our community, performing physical tasks outdoors in all weather conditions. We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who are committed to safety and teamwork. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the waste collection vehicle driver on daily routes, following specific council contract schedules.
- Load waste and recycling bins onto the vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Guide the driver in challenging areas and during reversing manoeuvres.
- Ensure all waste is collected in accordance with safety procedures and company policies.
- Report any issues, such as damaged bins or missed collections, to the driver or supervisor.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness around collection points.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations at all times.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve daily targets.

- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
