Job Description

Riverbend Yacht Club is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Marine Fuel Dock Attendants for the upcoming boating season. This seasonal position offers a unique opportunity to work outdoors in a beautiful waterfront setting, assisting boaters with their fueling needs and ensuring a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience at our marina. You will be the front-line ambassador for our club, providing friendly service and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our fuel dock operations. Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and competent in all aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently dispense fuel and pump-out services for various types of watercraft.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system.
  • Assist boaters with docking, tying up, and general inquiries.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the fuel dock, surrounding areas, and equipment.
  • Monitor fuel levels and report any issues or supply needs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing boater needs and questions with a friendly and helpful attitude.
  • Perform basic daily maintenance checks on fuel pumps and related equipment.
  • Assist with other marina operations as needed.

Required Skills

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an outdoor, variable weather environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating fuel quantities.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights (up to 50 lbs), and bend/reach as needed.
  • A responsible and safety-conscious attitude.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule during the boating season.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service, retail, or hospitality role.
  • Familiarity with boating or marine environments.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with outdoor equipment.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
