Job Description

Snap Print & Design Ballarat is seeking a highly motivated and reliable Printing Assistant to join our production team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible day work with the benefit of weekly pay in a fast-paced and dynamic printing environment. No prior experience in printing is necessary, as full, comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success. You will play a crucial role in assisting with various stages of the printing process, ensuring high-quality output and contributing to the efficient operation of our facility. Key Responsibilities

• Assist printing operators with the setup and operation of various printing machinery, including digital and offset presses.
• Accurately load paper, ink, and other necessary materials onto printers and replenish as required.
• Monitor print quality throughout production runs, identifying and reporting any potential issues or defects.
• Perform routine basic maintenance and cleaning tasks on printing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Assist with finishing processes, including trimming, folding, collating, binding, and packaging of printed materials.
• Support stock management activities, including receiving deliveries, organizing inventory, and preparing materials for production.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and operational guidelines.
