Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and physically fit individuals to join our team as Steel Mill Labourers. This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in heavy industry with a company that values its employees and offers comprehensive training. As a Steel Mill Labourer, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our facility, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supporting our skilled tradespeople. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to work effectively in a demanding industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled operators and tradespeople with various tasks across the steel mill.
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Operate basic machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently (after training).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, tidying, and waste removal.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform general labour duties as assigned to support production goals.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Required Skills
- Ability to understand and follow instructions effectively.

- Excellent physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment.
- Basic understanding of mechanical processes or tools.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- First Aid certification.
