Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Reservoir & Dam Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Bangor, Wales. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine inspections and maintenance of reservoir and dam structures, including embankments, spillways, and associated assets.
  • Support the team in carrying out minor repairs and upkeep tasks, such as vegetation management, fence repairs, and general site tidiness.
  • Monitor water levels, flows, and structural conditions, reporting any anomalies or potential issues to senior staff.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively (training provided).
  • Participate in emergency response drills and assist during incidents as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out, observations, and equipment usage.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to achieve operational goals.

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Good physical fitness for manual tasks and walking on varied terrain.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and general maintenance tasks.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Experience working in an outdoor or manual labour environment.
