Job Description
We are seeking a talented and driven Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about data transformation and delivering actionable insights. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust BI solutions that empower our clients to make informed strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable BI solutions, including data models, ETL processes, dashboards, and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and data architects to understand requirements, define metrics, and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various source systems into data warehouses.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all BI solutions.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing BI applications and reports.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-implementation support.
- Stay updated with emerging BI technologies and best practices, recommending their adoption where appropriate.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a BI Developer or similar role (minimum 3 years).
- Strong proficiency in SQL development and database querying.
- Expertise in at least one major BI visualization tool (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).
- Experience with ETL tools and processes (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica).
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate them into clear, concise insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Certified Associate).
- Experience working in a consulting environment.
