Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Shopfitting Labourers to join our project teams in Rockhampton. This is a full-time position primarily focused on night shifts, working on exciting retail fitout and renovation projects. If you are physically fit, possess a strong work ethic, and are keen to contribute to transforming retail spaces, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting skilled tradespersons (carpenters, electricians, plasterers) with various tasks on site.
- Moving, loading, and unloading materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Performing general demolition and strip-out duties as required.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including site clean-up and waste removal.
- Operating basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Adhering strictly to all site safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Supporting the project team to ensure deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks.
- A valid Construction Induction Card (White Card) is mandatory.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Willingness to work night shifts and occasional weekends as project demands.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction, labouring, or shopfitting environment (12 months preferred).
- Basic knowledge of various hand and power tools.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Experience with working at heights or in confined spaces tickets.
- Own reliable transport and a valid driver's licence.
