Job Description
Are you looking for flexible, casual work that offers a great hourly rate and the chance to learn new skills? Crestwood Roofing & Building Services is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Roofer’s Labourers to join our dynamic team for casual day shifts in Salisbury. No prior roofing experience is necessary, as full on-the-job training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are physically fit, possess a strong work ethic, and are eager to gain valuable experience in the construction sector. We provide all necessary safety gear, ensuring you’re well-equipped and protected on every site.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced roofers with various tasks on residential and commercial sites.
- Safely load, unload, and move roofing materials and equipment around the worksite.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including debris removal and tidying up.
- Learn to use basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and company procedures diligently.
- Support the team in preparing roofs for installation, repair, or maintenance.
- Perform other general labour duties as required to support project completion.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 25kg) and work at heights.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to attendance.
- Eager to learn and develop new practical skills.
- Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations.
- No prior roofing or construction experience required; full training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outdoor work or manual labour.
- Possession of a valid CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Full UK driving license and access to reliable transport.
