Job Description
Are you looking for a stable, straightforward role on a construction site without the usual hustle and bustle? AW Edwards is seeking a reliable and attentive Gatekeeper to manage access and egress at our Armidale construction site. This ‘no stress’ role is ideal for individuals who are organised, punctual, and enjoy a consistent routine. You will be the first point of contact for all site visitors and deliveries, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining site security with a calm and methodical approach. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for anyone seeking an entry-level position in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control all pedestrian and vehicle access to and from the construction site.
- Verify credentials of visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
- Maintain accurate logs of all site entries and exits.
- Direct visitors and deliveries to the appropriate areas on site.
- Communicate effectively with site management regarding any unusual activity or concerns.
- Ensure site gates are secured outside of operating hours.
- Adhere to all site safety protocols and procedures.
- Provide a professional and friendly first impression for all site interactions.
