Job Description
We are seeking a enthusiastic and customer-focused Craft Beer / Bottle Shop Advisor to join our team for evening shifts at our Rotherham location. If you have a passion for craft beer, love connecting with people, and thrive in a vibrant retail environment, this role is for you. You’ll be the face of our shop during peak evening hours, guiding customers through our diverse selection, sharing your knowledge, and ensuring a memorable experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, offering recommendations and insights into our craft beer selection.
- Handle sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Maintain an organised and appealing shop floor, ensuring shelves are stocked and products are clearly priced.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and rotating stock.
- Educate customers on different beer styles, breweries, and tasting notes.
- Ensure the shop is clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times.
- Contribute to a positive and friendly team environment.
- Adhere to all licensing laws and responsible alcohol service practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service.
- A genuine interest in craft beer and an eagerness to learn more.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work evening shifts, including weekends, as required.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and point-of-sale systems.
- Must be 18 years or older due to alcohol sales.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically within a bottle shop, brewery, or craft beer bar.
- Knowledge of various craft beer styles, brewing processes, and local breweries.
- Personal Licence Holder (or willingness to obtain one).
- Experience with social media management for local businesses.
