Job Description

Bluebird Care Cornwall is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team as Care Assistants in Truro and the surrounding areas. No previous experience is required as we provide full, comprehensive training, including the Care Certificate. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with medication reminders and administration (following training)
  • Support with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment if necessary
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding where required
  • Undertake light household duties and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with shopping and appointments
  • Accurately document care provided and report any changes in a customer's condition
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and care plans

Required Skills

  • Genuine desire to help others and make a positive impact
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and highly organised
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving license and access to your own reliable vehicle (essential for community care)
  • Willingness to learn and commit to ongoing training

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic IT skills for documentation and scheduling
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role
