Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Architecture Draftsperson to join our dynamic team in Georgetown, Washington D.C. This role is integral to our project delivery, focusing on transforming design concepts into detailed technical drawings and documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of architectural principles, excellent drafting skills using industry-standard software, and a meticulous eye for detail. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, using CAD software.
- Collaborate with architects and designers to translate conceptual designs into technical drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from project managers and clients.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, presentations, and reports.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Conduct site visits as needed to gather information and verify dimensions.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong understanding of architectural drafting standards and principles.
- Ability to interpret sketches, red-line markups, and verbal instructions into accurate drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent certification in Architectural Drafting or a related field.
- Experience with other design software such as SketchUp or Rhino.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices.
- Familiarity with local Washington D.C. building codes and regulations.
