Job Description

Prairie Pest Solutions is excited to announce an opening for a Trainee Pest Control Officer! No prior experience in pest control is required – we believe in investing in our team. We will provide comprehensive, paid training and cover all costs associated with obtaining your pest control licensing. This role offers the unique opportunity for independent work once fully trained, managing your own schedule and service route within the Aberdeen area. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all paid training sessions to learn pest identification, treatment methods, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Successfully pass licensing exams to become a certified Pest Control Officer, with all costs covered by Prairie Pest Solutions.
- Once licensed, independently manage and service a designated route, performing pest inspections and treatments at residential and commercial properties.
- Apply pesticides and other pest control products safely and according to established guidelines and regulations.
- Educate clients on pest prevention strategies and answer their questions professionally.
- Document services performed, treatment plans, and client interactions accurately.
- Maintain company equipment and vehicles in clean and good working condition.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and federal, state, and local regulations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and commit to a comprehensive training program.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer service experience.
- Basic knowledge of local geography/area.
- Mechanical aptitude or experience working with tools.
