Job Description
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Venture Capital Principal to join our dynamic team in Manchester. This pivotal role involves identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in high-growth technology companies across various sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mind, extensive experience in venture capital or private equity, and a deep understanding of the technology landscape. You will be instrumental in driving our investment strategy, conducting due diligence, managing portfolio companies, and contributing to the firm’s overall success. Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end investment processes, from sourcing and screening to deal execution and closing.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence, market research, financial modeling, and valuation analysis.
- Develop detailed investment memoranda and present recommendations to the investment committee.
- Actively manage and support portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and operational assistance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, co-investors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to identify new investment themes.
- Represent GP Bullhound at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
- Contribute to fundraising efforts and investor relations as required.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or investment banking.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and executing investments.
- Deep understanding of the technology sector and its various sub-segments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with international deal structuring and cross-border transactions.
- Established network within the European tech ecosystem.
- Proficiency in an additional European language.
