Job Description
Northern Prairie University is seeking a passionate and dedicated Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) Intern to join our Campus Life team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in student affairs, program management, and leadership development within a dynamic university setting. The FSL Intern will support the daily operations of our Fraternity & Sorority Life office, contribute to the planning and execution of FSL events, and help cultivate a positive and thriving Greek community on campus. This role is ideal for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact on student experiences and develop essential professional skills in higher education, all while contributing to the vibrant Wetaskiwin campus culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, promotion, and execution of FSL programs and events, including recruitment initiatives, leadership workshops, and community service projects.
- Provide administrative support to the FSL office, including managing correspondence, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports.
- Serve as a primary resource for FSL students, offering guidance and information on university policies, chapter operations, and available campus resources.
- Contribute to the development of engaging communication materials for FSL chapters, such as newsletters, social media content, and website updates.
- Support the cultivation of positive relationships between FSL chapters, the university administration, and the wider Wetaskiwin community.
- Participate actively in FSL staff meetings and relevant professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment in or recent graduate of a related higher education program (e.g., Student Affairs, Education, Communications, Public Relations).
- Previous involvement in fraternity or sorority life, student government, or other campus organizations.
- Experience with event planning, program coordination, or project management.
- Familiarity with social media management, content creation tools, and basic graphic design principles.
