You’ll receive comprehensive, paid training to become a professional bus driver, mastering the skills needed to safely and efficiently transport our community members across Fresno. Key Responsibilities
- Successfully complete all required classroom and behind-the-wheel training to obtain a PCV licence.
- Operate transit buses safely and efficiently on assigned routes, adhering to schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers, including assisting with boarding and alighting as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure operational safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and passengers.
- Collect fares and issue transfers accurately.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record for at least 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- No prior bus driving experience is required; full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum age of 21 years old.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with the Fresno metropolitan area.
