Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team at our King’s Lynn location. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in hospitality, as no prior experience is necessary. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment, supporting our chefs, and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, including washing dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans.
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the unloading and storage of deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required.
- Ensure all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, and equipment, are clean and sanitised.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling effectively.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the kitchen management.
- Assist with other kitchen duties as directed by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
