Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organised Workers Compensation Claims Assistant to join our Public Sector team in Worcester. In this vital administrative support role, you will play a key part in the efficient processing and management of workers’ compensation claims for our council employees. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the public sector and gain valuable experience in claims administration, legal compliance, and employee welfare. While some administrative experience is beneficial, comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped to handle the specific requirements of this role. You will work closely with claims officers, legal teams, and HR professionals to ensure fair and timely resolution of claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist claims officers with the administrative tasks related to workers' compensation claims.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all claim-related documentation.
- Communicate with employees, medical providers, and internal departments regarding claim status.
- Prepare and process claim forms, correspondence, and reports.
- Schedule appointments and meetings related to claims management.
- Follow up on outstanding information or documentation required for claim processing.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
- Support the compilation of data for regular reporting and audits.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of claims administration processes.
