Job Description
Are you passionate about chocolate and love providing exceptional customer service? Hotel Chocolat in Taunton is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cashier to join our vibrant team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people, has an eye for detail, and thrives in a bustling retail environment, especially during the festive seasons. As a Gourmet Chocolate Shop Cashier, you’ll be at the heart of our store, ensuring every customer’s visit is as delightful as our chocolates. You’ll handle transactions, assist with product inquiries, and maintain our shop’s impeccable standards. While some experience is beneficial, a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key. Full training will be provided to help you become a chocolate expert!
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting with product selections and answering questions about our gourmet chocolates.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting shop environment.
- Assist with stock replenishment and visual merchandising.
- Handle cash, credit card, and gift voucher transactions with care and integrity.
- Promote current offers, loyalty programs, and seasonal products.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team atmosphere, especially during busy holiday periods.
