Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Instructional Design for Higher Ed Intern to join our dynamic team in Wembley. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of instructional design within a higher education context. You will work closely with experienced instructional designers, subject matter experts, and educational technologists to develop engaging and effective learning experiences for university students. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education and keen to understand how learning theory translates into practical, digital, and blended learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional materials for higher education courses.
- Contribute to the creation of engaging multimedia content, including interactive exercises, simulations, and video scripts.
- Support the instructional design team in researching best practices in online learning and educational technology.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews of course content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and ensure instructional objectives are met.
- Help organize and maintain project documentation and resources.
- Provide administrative support to the instructional design team as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in instructional design, education, or related fields.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle).
- Basic understanding of graphic design principles or multimedia editing tools.
- Experience with adult learning theories or instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
